Synopsis
A "pure" manga by a 76-year-old artist who experiences and draws aging. The setting is an apartment complex built during Japan's period of rapid economic growth. There, elderly people are living alone with their cats, waiting for their "solitary death" that will come someday. What kind of story will they face tomorrow? The author, 76 years old and living in an apartment complex herself, depicts the overwhelming present as the future for all of us. (Source: Shogakukan, translated)
