Chizuru no Yoake: Watashi ni Ichizu na Dannasama

Synopsis

Chizuru, an orphan, becomes the wife of Toshiro, a hero of the Northern War. Though she had long harbored feelings for him, their marriage had a hidden purpose: to offer Chizuru as a sacrificial offering, a tradition upheld by the Hojo clan—Toshiro's family—for generations. On the day of the sacrifice, Chizuru learns the cruel truth. As she sheds silent tears, she whispers, "Just once... I wanted to hear you say you loved me." At that very moment, Toshiro appears before her—her beloved. What hidden feelings does he reveal to Chizuru? Thus begins the story of a clumsy yet pure-hearted love between husband and wife, starting at the break of dawn. (Source: SORAJIMA, translated)
